Group Study Exchange Trip to Africa , April 2006
WCM president, Richard B. Stevens, will be leading a team of educational professionals on a four-week tour of both Ghana and Togo in West Africa . Among the honors held by this group are the San Diego Teacher of the Year Award (2005) and the Crown Award by Columbia University 's Scholastic Press for the country's best middle-school yearbook. The focus of the trip will be a cultural exchange for the team members and an opportunity to observe teaching and education methods in Africa .
